Asylum Basics

This presentation is designed to give an update on current detention and custody issues. We will provide general updates regarding practice at the Northwest ICE Processing Center, as well as specific updates and pointers on bond hearings before the three Immigration Judges, COVID-specific considerations, and mental health considerations in bond proceedings. We will briefly discuss the state of credible and reasonable fear proceedings. Finally, will discuss litigation related to custody issues and stays of removal before ICE and Federal District Court.
