Employment-based Immigration Litigation for Non-Litigators
Business immigration lawyers have faced multiple indignities and frustrations dealing with federal bureaucrats who play by ever-changing, often-unwritten and unannounced rules. Inserting “not applicable” or “none” on multiple data fields in government forms is not why we went to law school. This panel will introduce employment-based immigration practitioners to federal court practice (with some attention paid to Ninth Circuit jurisprudence). It will offer a basic introduction to procedures, legal issues, and strategies to encourage the government to become more amenable (or judicially required) to resolve unjust adjudications that harm our employment-based clients. Come put your toe in the federal court waters.
